Hello everyone!
I am absolutely thrilled to officially welcome you to the brand-new Stringbabies website and online shop. It is finally here, and we are so excited to open the digital doors!
A Journey Worth the Wait
I know we’ve been working toward this for quite some time. We originally hoped to unveil our new digital home back in 2024, but we hit a few unexpected technical bumps in the road.
We tried again in 2025, but as often happens, life threw us a few curveballs! However, after a lot of love, care, and hard work behind the scenes, we are so proud to finally share this beautiful new space that truly reflects the passion of our amazing community.
Honoring Our Roots, Growing for the Future
If you’ve been part of the Stringbabies family for a while, you will know our original home over at stringbabies.org. That site served our community wonderfully for many years. It laid the foundation for everything we do today, and we are incredibly grateful for it and for everyone who helped build and look after it over the years.
But as our community has continued to grow, we realized we needed a platform that could grow right alongside us. Compared to our old site, this new digital home has been completely modernized to offer a smoother layout, a streamlined shopping journey, and a much more accessible resource hub.
Pardon Our Dust!
Now, much like moving into a new house, we have most of the rooms unpacked, but you might still find a stray box or two lying around!
The main areas are fully online and ready for you to enjoy. This includes:
- This shiny new Blog
- Our Newsletter signup
- The brand-new Shop
- The exclusive Members Area
- The overall look and feel of the site
However, some sections—like our Teacher Directory—are still being finalised. You might also
stumble across the odd formatting gremlin hiding behind the scenes. Rest assured, we are working
incredibly hard (armed with a digital dustpan and brush!) to sweep up these minor issues.
If you spot something that isn't quite right or makes you raise an eyebrow, please bear with us. We promise it’s on our to-do list, so there is no need to throw a cello at us just yet!
Safety First (and a Big Thank You!)
While we are still tweaking a few fonts and fixing a few buttons, I want to reassure you that the one thing we didn't leave as a work in progress was your safety. Getting the site’s security right was the absolute first thing on our checklist.
While our new digital home is based on the robust Shopify platform, it has been completely customised for Stringbabies Ltd by the brilliant team at Alestra Services Group. They have worked hand-in-hand with some of our best contacts in the cyber security world to deliver a bespoke, unique, and highly secure experience for all our site visitors. Your personal data is locked down, the site's integrity is strictly maintained, and you can browse and shop with total peace of mind.
The Heart of Stringbabies Remains the Same
While our website has had a fantastic makeover and some powerful new tech under the hood, the core of what we do hasn't changed one bit. We are still entirely focused on helping children fall in love with making music.
The Stringbabies approach is designed to break down the traditional barriers of sight-reading by combining joyful singing, rhythm games, foundational aural skills, and creative composition. Whether a child is picking up a violin, a cello, or exploring our wider 'Musicbabies' program, our goal is to turn early-years music education into an unpredictable and fun adventure!
I can’t wait for you to take a look around, browse the new shop, and explore everything we’ve put together. Thank you so much for your patience, your loyalty, and your continued support.
